Annual Meeting
OfficeMax's annual meeting is typically held in April each year. Shareholders owning stock on the proxy record date are entitled to attend the meeting, vote on the election of directors, and act on other matters, such as management and shareholder proposals and approval of our independent auditors.

Shareholders of record will receive a notice directing them to our proxy materials and annual report. The proxy statement describes the proposals on which we would like you, as a shareholder, to vote. The notice instructs shareholders on how to vote without attending the annual meeting in person.

Shareholders who own stock in street name (through a broker, bank, or other financial institution) will receive their notice and proxy materials directly from that institution.

Prior to November 1, 2004, the legal name of OfficeMax (NYSE:OMX) was Boise Cascade Corporation (NYSE:BCC), and the office products business was named Boise Office Solutions.
